I have been a member before Fraz went to subscription-based website. It is worth every dollar Euro etc. that is spent. The resources are numerous. The quizzes test the concepts that are so necessary to apply the rules in a championship situation. Keep up the great work.

The Samaritans website is the one-stop shop for golf rules quizzes. It has something for everyone, from straightforward tests for beginners to more challenging questions for rules experts. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking to gain a deeper understanding of the Rules of Golf.

I am so grateful to my rules friend who introduced me to TGRS when I decided to study the rules in greater detail and begin my journey up the rules ladder. Currently studying for Level 2, I’m finding that the wealth of material and quizzes are excellent learning tools, not only providing good solid preparation and technique for the exam itself but helping me really engage my brain and analyse why I’ve got an answer right or wrong. As if that weren’t enough Fraz has been super supportive and patient regarding any queries I might have. He has done an excellent job of putting the website together, it’s easy to navigate, well organised and rich in golf rules detail. Thank you.

Fraser has put together the very BEST Rules site, it is one I visit daily to enhance my Rules Knowledge. Even highly skilled and professional Rules Officials will benefit greatly from this site. I am presently studying to take the R&A Level 3 Exam and I have found this website absolutely invaluable in terms of preparing for ‘the day’. The depth/range of the example questions is extremely good;-of particular use, I’ve found, is the spreadsheet which, amongst other things, summarises in one place all the rule points and chapters. Frazer Nicol, the founder of TGRS, had done a superb job in putting this website together and has been really helpful in assisting me with putting together a revision programme.
A lot of well organised rule quizzes. TGRS is the perfect tool to prepare exams as well as refresh your knowledge of the Rules.
I recently joined the TGRS web page but I discovered the excellent works of Fraz a couple of years ago on Facebook. I passed the official R&A Level 2 in 2019 then the French equivalent of Level 3 in 2021 but my goal is the official R&A Level 3 exam as soon as I have the opportunity to take it, in English of course. TGRS is an excellent tool for continuing education in the Rules of golf and the many quizzes sorted by topics or by parts of exams are of great help to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. As I like all kind of quizzes that are good to keep your brain active and sharp, I love these and it is even becoming addictive, but in a good way!

The best website for rules officials
This website overall has been my main source for not only preparing for the USGA rules testing for the past couple years, but also for just getting a quick refresher with the rules as I work events thru the year. I am somewhat new to the golf rules (started 2023), but with using this website and the all the available resources, my scores have been expert level both times. This website is now my source for scoring 95+ going forward.

I’ve really appreciated using parts of Fraser’s work during my own refereeing journey, and it is clear how much thought, time and effort he has put into building such a valuable rules resource. Golf Rules Samaritan Website has a long history, beginning during the lockdown, and it quickly became a pleasant companion. The website is terrific if you need to prepare for an examination. It is also a great tool for understanding the rules in depth, thanks to the very clever experts who are always willing to help. For example, when I had a question about a complex rule, an expert provided a clear explanation within hours. This is what sets it apart from other websites I have visited over time: you can almost always expect a sound answer to your questions.

I love rules, but “sometimes” in our daily tasks, jobs, families, and even with our pets, it is almost impossible to find time to study and update the Rules.
